The historical adventure of « The blue gold paths », a canoe and camping experience, is taking six pilgrims across Canada’s waters to pursue their dream of discovery, through lakes and rivers.
This year’s expedition starts April 18th 2015 in the icy waters of Lake of Two Mountains in Montreal and will conclude itself 7000 kilometers away from its beginning journey on October 20th 2015 along the coast of Mackenzie River in Inuvik.
This incredible six months journey will entitle the participants to engage in a close relationship with nature and will retrace the legendary explorations of many historical voyagers such as as Pierre Gaultier de la Vérendrye, Peter Pond, Alexander Mackenzie as well as follow the traces of Canada’s First Nations.
The blue gold paths is an expedition that will bring together a group of six brave paddlers aged from 20 to 44. This experimented team will be constituted of adventurous canoers that all share common passions : physical activities, the great outdoors, adventure and breaking their limits.
These six bold explorers, as did the Voyageurs of history, will be assigned to important tasks that will contribute to make of this mystical expedition a success engraved in their memories and in the minds and dreams of many others. It will become a search for balance and a healthy living style for a six months period during which the forest will become their home.
This odyssey across Canada will be imbued of to main preoccupations; the protection of our planet’s environment and the sensitization of Cannadians to the importance of preserving our lakes and rivers.
