The word “chowder” comes from the French word “chaudière,” a cooking pot that was once used by fishermen to cook soups and stews. Originally, shrimp chowder was used to dispose of unsold fish leftovers! Now, any self-respecting seafood lover can’t stop in a fishing village without being irresistibly drawn to the sweetness of a creamy chowder.
Combine the cold water (500 ml/serving) and the contents of the bag in a pan. Mix well. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook 1-2 minutes. Reduce heat and let stand for 10-12 minutes, stirring once or twice.
Express Preparation (for 1 serving only)
Add 3500 ml of boiling water to bag. Mix Well. Seal bag and let stand for 15-18 minutes, stirring once or twice.
