ATLANTIC OCEAN CROSSING
Rowing solo 2 700 nautical miles ▪ From Québec to France
« MP » a new word for courage, perseverance and laughter
Mylène has risen to this challenge that only a few have accomplished... a long and daring trip; a true ocean odyssey.
Mylène Paquette travelled the 2700 nautical miles (5000 km) separating the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Lorient, France, rowing solo on the North Atlantic, no motor no sail.
This 129-day ocean crossing has never been achieved by any Canadian or American to date. The North Atlantic is one of the most feared by sailors and Mylène got a taste of it with 100 km winds, ten-meter waves and capsizing on 10 occasions.
Mylène left Halifax on July 6, 2013, and arrived in Lorient on November 12, 2013. http://www.mylenepaquette.com/
